Penn Waste, Inc. was awarded the Borough's Garbage Contract for the next 3 years, starting January 1, 2010. Your day of collection will be changed to THURSDAYS. Please read both
sides of Penn Waste's insert for collection days and recycling information. Cardboard, office paper, junk mail and more, can now be recycled. Recycling is mandatory in Hallam Borough.
If you want to dispose of a Freon Appliance (refrigerator, freezer or air conditioner), you need to call Penn Waste to schedule the pick-up. Anyone interested In renting a toter from Penn Waste (cost is $18.00 a quarter),call their  customer service number, 767-4456. If your garbage or recycling was missed, please call Council President Ed Wible at 755-9016. Remember when it snows, white garbage bags are not clearly visible. Try black bags.
